The European Continental University of Delaware, USA (ECU) has a unique TRICO system in awarding qualifications. ECU has its main focus on
  mature candidate programmes due  to the fact  that  every country provides for its school leavers. ECU in accord with the UK - Commission  for
  Consistent Learning (UK-CCL) and the Corporation of  Executives & Administrators (CEA) has taken  the  step to avail qualifications for working
  people and  those with `hands-on’ experience. The TRICO system is a result  of  this and is comprised of three aspects : Tutorial, Affirmation
   and Accreditation.

  ECU awards are based on the mode of collaborative facilitating agreements with the various international institutions and organisations. These
  in  turn deliver the   programmes. The entire system consists of credit  accumulation and transfer schemes and research programmes which  is
  cumulative towards an award from the University.

  The quality delivery and structure of the programmes is supervised by the independent verifiers and assessors, the UK-CCL which is dedicated
  in  safeguarding  the  interest  of  learners. The  facilitators  or programme  delivery  centres  are annually audited  by  the  UK-CCL’s  Quality
  Assurance Board.

  ECU degree qualifications are recognised by the Consortium of Professional Bodies and Universities worldwide as reputable qualifications either
  for  further studies or  for  Career Progress. The governors  of  ECU proudly  state  that  many candidates of  ECU hold  very  high positions  in
  governmental and private sectors, internationally.  In the same token, the Governing Board wishes to caution every applicant that he University
  does not guarantee that every employer in the world will recognise  the degree qualifications  of ECU, due to the fact that it  is a non traditional
  University with-out-walls.

   ECU makes it possible for working people and people with `hands-on’ experience to obtain a Professional Degree Qualification. All candidates
   will  be channelled via the method of Affirmation for Prior Experience & Learning (APEL) and Accreditation for Career Progress Development
   (ACPD).
