The name of the organisation is the Corporation of Executives and Administrators, to be known as CEA. The Corporation of Executive & administrators (CEA) is a unique International Professional Body incorporated in Great Britain in the year 1981 as a Limited by Guarantee with No Shares and Non- Profit Making, Quasi Charity Professional Educational Institution. CEA incorporated as a Professional Body under the UK company acts 1948 to 1981 section of SIC (92) with dedicated company act code of 9112 offering legitimate UK Accredited Professional Educational Qualifications.
At the incorporation CEA incorporated in the memorandum of article the authority of in awarding International Vocational Diplomas and Professional Certified Memberships via dedicated Faculties with appropriate designated letters. This is implemented as per the By Laws of the Memorandum of Association of incorporation under the Companies Acts 1948 to 1980 with the Registration Number 1586873. The CEA is an accredited non-governmental organisation, whose aims are to ensure that the Discipline of Professionalism and Bench Marks are implemented to all members who are in practise that they meet the needs of the markets and the communities that they serve.
The CEA wishes to remain as an innovative professional body to serve with three main ideologies - Aptitude, Attitude and Aspiration (Triple A's). The objective is to build and support professionals by leveraging the power of experience. CEA has been facilitating UK Professional Membership in many disciplines in recognition of an individual's previous achievement in his/her area of profession. Membership is attainable through two main schemes for mature persons. The schemes are Accreditation for Career Progress Development (ACPD) and Affirmation for Prior Experience & Learning (APEL). The CEA also maintain higher educational facilitates for candidates to achieve the CEA qualifications via Professional Academic Route (PAR).
We must commemorate the founders of CEA who had foreseen in the early eighties of the importance in recognising the endorsement for working professional in elevating them to a Professional Level .To this effect, CEA has facilitated in its Memorandum of Articles, the formation of Faculties to offer membership in various disciplines, with appropriate titles. Our due respect and thanks must go to the founder and visionary and the first Secretary General late Prof. Dr. Susil K Das Gupta.
The CEA has developed through a natural process as a professional educational institution underpinning best of two distinct worlds; theoretical and practical. The days of Lecture Theatres, Halls of Residence, Binge drinking through the nights and rest of the goodies have been marked for extinction by our political philanthropists ever since education became a burden to the States. Education Ministers throughout the world have dabbled with various alternatives to replace the traditional methods but none have found a perfect solution. Japan and Germany have been advocating the integration of vocational training into theoretical learning from the outset but the rest of the world has been extremely slow to adopt the model. Even before the use of Computers began to grow exponentially, vocational qualifications were recognised and actively encouraged by the United States of America. Minimum requirements of any decent jobs have changed progressively from G.C.E 'O' levels, G.C.S.E, G.C.E. 'A' levels and now Professional Qualifications are recognised and accepted.
In September 2006, the General Executive Council unanimously passed a resolution on its twenty five years of existence in elevating the membership tile with the abbreviation endorsement "CERTIFIED". This inclusion will permit every member to designate themselves as "CERTIFIED ADMINISTRATORS" of CEA. It is another elevation for CEA members.
From the inception CEA's founders mission was to offer Unique Professional Status for the busy working person a recognition that he/she truly deserve as they are dedicated their full effort of contributing their knowledge towards their respective employers. CEA's current Executive Governor General totally believes in assessing every individual by Project/Course Work with Assignments and Oral Examinations in offering the CEA Qualifications and Membership, rather than traditional concept of three hours examinations. To implement this very concept, CEA's General Executive Council did approach the UK Commission for Consistent Learning (UK-CCL) to assist them to implement this verification methodology within the CEA's academic panel. UK-CCL did implement this very concept in the year of January 2006.
Academic Cradles could not resolve the main problems of employers, due to the fact that newly graduated candidates lacked the necessary skills to meet the requirements of the work place. Skills gained through work experience were observed to be more critically important to the employer than a degree gained at a university. The CEA's General Executive Council has taken notice of the above with dilemma of academically unqualified persons with no certification prove has adequate hands on experience and skills which academically university qualified persons lack. This is the main reason, the GEC, has change their method of Assessment and Verification Scheme to Accreditation for Career Progress Development and Affirmation for Prior Experience & Learning (APEL). This is where the Corporation of Executives and Administrators is scoring points in relation to their membership and qualifications.
An Executive Management Council (EMC) is nominated to manage the day-to-day operations and to take decision in consultation with the General Council of CEA. The General Executive Council (GEC) is elected from within the members of the CEA. The EMC is not elected but nominated by the GEC and the nominated persons can be removed from office if they breach any of the organisation's rules, or for non compliance, or non performance of their obligations.
